Transportation infrastructure is essential to supporting the domestic transportation of goods.
JD has numerous transportation solutions that would support the transportation industry and improve our supply chain problems. We don’t lack the ability when it comes to transportation and manufacturing — Laredo just needs the right leadership and JD will be there to encourage it.
Education
As a product of Laredo public schools, a higher education board member, and an employer, JD knows that education is the foundation to success.
That’s why education will be one of his top priorities in Austin. JD asks you to join him in his campaign for Texas State Representative because we need new leaders who will fight every day for education funding reform.
Healthcare
If elected, JD will fight for access to quality healthcare for all Laredoans; not just those who can afford it or qualify for government subsidies.
We must stop considering healthcare as a luxury available only to those with health insurance and instead ensure that everyone has the ability to get the care they need.

JD knows firsthand how important it is to keep families safe, secure and prosperous on both sides of the border.
Laredo is one of the safest cities of its size in America. JD wants to make Laredo safer by increasing collaboration with federal, county and local law enforcement agencies. JD supports proper funding and equipment for a more secure District 42.

JD believes there are many benefits to opening businesses in Laredo.
JD knows Laredo is ideal for business development because of the tools available in the city. The relatively low cost of living, quality of life, and open business support make Laredo more affordable to start companies when compared to other major cities.
